Texas Mimosa Cocktail or Wedding Punch

For four servings:
24 oz Cherry 7-Up
1 bottle pink champagne
1/2 cup tequila
maraschino cherries for garnish

For one drink:
6 oz Cherry 7-Up
6 oz pink champagne
1 oz tequila
a maraschino cherry

This is pink, like mimosa blossoms. It differs from other Mimosa cocktails in that it has no orange juice. It makes a great wedding punch, and it really packs one, too. A silver tequila should be chosen, but Cuervo Especial Gold is excellent for this. Serve over cracked ice in a champagne flute.
