Glühwein Winter Recipe

Glühwein
6 Cloves
1 Orange, thickly sliced
1 Lemon, thickly sliced
4 to 9 Tablespoons Sugar, pending taste
1L Red wine
3 Cinnamon sticks
1 Star Anise, optional
Havana Rum, optional

Add all ingredients except Havana Rum, to large pot and allow to simmer very mildly for approx 1 hour, with lid on.

Turn off heat and allow to steep for a further 30 minutes, without removing the lid so that the heat remains.

Sieve into warmed cups, adding your dash of Rum.
